Amidst the mighty grandeur of the tops of the Southern uplands and at the peak of the very ancient and beautiful Crawick pass is High Whitecleugh Cottage. The Cottage sits within the boundaries of Spango Farm, a working hill sheep farm that has been in our family for over 70 years. The terrain is varied from rolling hills, fields and marshland sitting within the North Lowther Special Protection Area.
As well as Blackface sheep we also breed cattle, and at different times throughout the year, the farm is alive with activity. The Cottage is accessed via a farm track, sitting in a remote corner of South West Scotland with astonishing views and an array of wildlife on its doorstep. Some of the most breathtaking scenery this part of Scotland has to offer is right outside the door. Stay and find time for you.

While you are here, you can meander at your own speed, exploring the land through the varying walking and hiking trails. Whether you are looking for some quiet, a weekend retreat for you and your friends, or a dog lover in need of some countryside scenery, High Whitecleugh caters to all. We hope you enjoy your stay!
